five stars is given more for the camera than the kit. The camera itself is totally bad ass, tack sharp pictures, expands to all shooting circumstances I've encountered, (i.e. portrait, wedding, macro, astro-to come... etc...) The kit on the other hand has a few short comings. Tripod is small and weak for the camera, I use it for a flash stand. Same thing with the desktop tripod, I don't put my camera on something that unstable. The flash -HAHAHAHA- nuff said, I think you can get it here on Amazon for around $5.00 and in my opinion that's too much. 2x and .45x are front lens mount not camera body mount -not really fond of that but for the most part they work. Like I said the five stars I gave is more for the camera, I highly recommend this camera. You can take a bunch of good shots with it.

Nowhere in the description of this product does it say that this is anything less than a canon kit. When pricing this kit versus other competitors it had the added value of filters, tripods, extra batteries, flash etc.. All these other "perks" are some aftermarket brand that is not described in the ad. These products are probably worth the extra money vs the basic canon kit,but it is not the super deal that is portrayed. As far as the basic canon kit, it is a great product and would recommend it to anyone, but don't be fooled by the added value of this particular kit...

I received my kit on time, love the Canon T2i and the rest of the accessories are ok. The tiny detail: NO wide angle lens. It came with the 2.0x and a macro. It works for me so it's not as bad as "let's burn them in hell". It's a starter kit.
